Women’s Shelters

I have partnered with 2 local women’s shelters that I visit regularly to provide low maintenance make overs and haircuts. Many of the women have come from unhealthy environments. The shelter provides them a safe place and a home-like environment where they are empowered to care for themselves and have the ability to start fresh.

St Baldricks

St. Baldricks is the largest private funder of childhood cancer research grants. They are committed to finding cures for childhood cancer and providing survivors long healthy lives. The head shaving fundraiser raises funds to help children nation wide with access to the latest research and clinical trials.

Hair Aid

Hair Aid’s first mission is to recruit and send volunteer hairstylists to provide free haircutting training for people living in critical poverty. Volunteers work directly with people living on the street, in slum communities, and those rescued from the sex trade and prostitution gangs. The students learn 5 basic haircuts in a knowledge packed week. At the end of the week they receive kits that include scissors, combs, clips and capes so they can start working immediately. Learning a skill provides a safer means to a higher income to support themselves and their families.

Global Cut-A-Thon

This is an annual fundraiser for Hair Aid. Stylists all over the world donate their time and all the money raised to support future projects of Hair Aid.
